Can PDFVoid unlock a PDF if I don't know the password?

If the PDF is encrypted with a strong user password (preventing viewing), you must provide the correct password to decrypt and unlock it locally. PDFVoid does not brute-force or hack user passwords; it removes restrictions from files where the password is known or clears permission-only blocks.

Are my passwords sent to PDFVoid?

No. Decryption keys are computed locally on your CPU. No passwords, credentials, or file bytes are sent to the network.

Will unlocking a PDF degrade its contents?

No. The decryption process removes the encryption wrapper and permission flags while keeping the internal page structures and elements identical.
