Can I edit the existing text inside the PDF?

This tool is a PDF Annotator. You can draw, highlight, and write new text over your PDF pages. Modifying pre-existing PDF typography requires an OCR editor; however, you can obscure old text using redact/draw shapes and place new text boxes over them.

Are my added comments readable in standard PDF apps?

Yes. When you download the document, PDFVoid flattens the shapes, drawings, and texts into the PDF vector layer, making them visible on Adobe Reader, Apple Preview, and browsers.
